A mine car is a narrow gauge mine car used in mines to transport bulk materials such as coal, ore, and waste rock, generally requiring a locomotive or winch for traction. Mine cars are divided into five main categories based on structure and unloading method: fixed mine cars (material cars, flat cars), dump mine cars, single sided curved track side dump mine car, bottom (side) dump mine cars,narrow gauge mine car and shuttle mine cars.

Mine cars are mainly used for track transportation in underground tunnels, shafts, and on the surface, and are the most widely used and applied transportation equipment in coal mines, with common track gauges of 600, 762, and 900 mm.

It consists of components such as a bucket, frame, running wheels, and connectors. The fixed mining cart bucket is rigidly connected to the frame and must rely on a tipper to unload the materials. The tipping mine car bucket is supported on a tipping track on the frame, allowing the bucket to tip and unload on the tipping track.
