Mine Car Braking

The good braking performance of side dump mine car is an important guarantee for safe driving. The equipment is one of the main reasons for many traffic accidents due to braking deviation during driving, which leads to accidents. If you can understand and analyze the main factors that cause brake deviation, you can quickly identify and eliminate faults, thereby improving work efficiency and ensuring driving safety.
Main factors for side dump mine car braking deviation:
1. The gap between the left and right wheel brake shoes and the brake drum is inconsistent.
2. The brake shoe material is different, or the contact condition with the brake drum is different.
3. Individual brake shoes have oil stains, hardening, or exposed rivets
4. The push rod of individual brake chambers is bent and deformed, the membrane is broken, and the air pipe or connector leaks.
5. The camshafts of individual wheels are stuck or reversed.
6. The pulling force of the return tension spring of each wheel brake shoe differs too much.
7. Individual brake drums are out of round.
Troubleshooting for side dump mine car braking deviation:
1. When determining that a wheel is not braking properly, one person should step on the brake pedal and the other person should pay attention to checking the brake air chamber, air pipe, or joint of the wheel for air leakage. Any air leakage should be repaired. If there is no air leakage, check the expansion and contraction of the brake air chamber push rod, and observe for bending, deformation, or seizure.
2. If the above inspections are good, the wheel can be erected and the brake shoes observed from the brake inspection hole for oil contamination and excessive clearance. If all are in good condition, you can step down the brake pedal and quickly lift it to see if the brake shoe returns quickly and freely. If it cannot return quickly, it may be due to insufficient tension on the brake shoe tension spring or stuck camshaft. It should be repaired or replaced.
3. If the above inspection and adjustment are still ineffective, remove the brake drum to check whether it is out of round, whether the brake shoes are worn or hardened, and whether the rivets are exposed. As for brake deviation caused by different brake shoe materials, it is generally only easy to occur when the brake shoe is newly replaced.
